HOW IT STARTED

THE FIRST YEAR

The first thing I set out to do was to purchase sustainably sourced timber, I decided on the highest-grade CHUNKY pine that had been kiln dried to a moisture content below 10%. This ensured the furniture acclimatised to its new home without warping or bowing, and will continue to look great for a lifetime.

These drawers are still going strong after 15 YEARS—the very first set we ever made! Back then, I had no idea where this journey would lead.
A friend spotted the drawers and asked if they were for sale, which got me thinking. I started researching what similar pieces were retailing for online and realized there was a market for simple, high-quality, handcrafted furniture.

That moment sparked an idea, and Forever Rustic Furniture was born. What began as a one-off project has grown into a passion for creating beautiful, durable furniture that stands the test of time. Each piece we make carries that same spirit of craftsmanship, combining functionality, style, and sustainability.

"After the challenges of the COVID-19 lockdown, we were fortunate to secure this stunning early 1900s cotton mill gatehouse. It was here that the real hard work began, laying the foundations to build our business into what it is today—combining heritage, craftsmanship, and a passion for creating unique pieces."
